Women's Workwear
September 13, 2021
Whether you are working in an office full time, dressing for zoom meetings from home, or in a hybrid work setting, there are a few things to consider when curating your workwear wardrobe. Check out must have staples and fun seasonal additions, every hard working woman has to have!
For those working from home full time, work attire may look a little different than previous years! Are you hopping on a virtual meeting, or just feel like changing out of your pajamas for a day of WFH? Opt for a comfy and cozy sweater. A printed option such as animal print, or one with special design details such as wider balloon sleeves, will have you looking stylish while staying comfortable. Paired with a denim jegging, you can take this look from a lunch time errand to dinner in no time! A meeting at noon but no energy to get fully dressed? Throw on an oversized sweater or top and pair with coordinating earrings to look like you rule the boardroom… virtually that is. Skip the hassle of dressing up your bottoms, and opt for a pair of athleisure joggers! With a loose fit and elastic waistband, joggers will become a staple in your work from home wardrobe.
We love to see what the ladies of Mud Pie wear each day in the office! See what some of our very own employees are wearing this season:
Savannah, Mud Pie’s Women’s Designer, is obsessed with wearing skirts for a day in the office. She loves a satin style midi skirt because she can style it multiple ways- with sneakers, a t-shirt, heels and more! Kristen, Mud Pie’s Production and Testing Manager, loves the comfort of a jumpsuit, while also feeling like her outfit is put together. The best of both worlds! Abi, Mud Pie’s National Account Specialist’s go to piece is a cardigan. Styled over a tank and jeans, a cardigan lends to an office appropriate outfit. It’s also a great light layer for when the office temperature changes throughout the day! Ashley, Mud Pie’s Digital Marketing Manager, is a sucker for a coordinating set. She loves how you can always pair them separately, creating multiple outfits and getting the most bang for your buck! Riley, Mud Pie’s Social Media and Influencer Coordinator, is drawn to casual t-shirt dresses. They have an ultra-comfortable fit, office appropriate length, and can be easily styled with sneakers.

Hi guys! It’s Mattie, Mud Pie’s Social Media and Content Manager. I’m sharing my favorite casual work wear outfits for each day of the week, perfect for those with a hybrid workplace setting.
MONDAY. On Monday’s I go for a casual, yet put together outfit which usually starts with a pair of denim jeggings. They are made with tons of stretch and an elastic waistband for an ultra-comfy fit. Next I am reaching for an oversized sweater, which is great for dressing up for the office and down on the weekends. This look will have you starting your week off in style and comfort.
TUESDAY. I love to wear a t-shirt dress to the office. More than just a basic there are so many different print options to choose from when it comes to t-shirt dresses. They also feature a loose and comfortable fit! Dress it down with a sneaker, and layer with a lightweight jacket, for those chilly boardroom meetings! Dressing for a Tuesday has never been easier or cuter!
WEDNESDAY. You’ve made it to Wednesday! You go girl! I’m reaching for my favorite jumpsuit in a comfortable material, such as French terry. A jumpsuit is a perfect option for lounging, travel, a day at the office, and everyday in between! What better way to gain a little mid-week motivation then with styling this one piece wonder.
THURSDAY. Thursday is here and I’ve got the weekend on my brain! A satin midi skirt can be styled all season long with a t-shirt and sneakers, or tank top and heels. The comfortable stretch of the elastic waistband on these skirts is also as must-have feature. Throw on a cardigan to combat those changing office temps, and you’re ready for a productive day at work!
FRIDAY. TGIF! We’re bringing weekend wear out into the week day sunlight! From casual lounge wear, to now dressing for the office, joggers are a closet staple. I pair my joggers with a basic white tee or tank, and a lightweight jacket, for a casual office appropriate ensemble. Grab a coffee and go- your weekend starts now!
When summer break is over, and teachers are headed back to the classroom, it can be stressful finding back to school work outfits! Check out some easy go-to tips from some local teachers for curating A+ styles:
Mrs. Fowler is a High School Home Economics Teacher whose first day of school style includes a one size tunic! She says this style top is incredibly soft, comfortable and stretchy for moving around my classroom with ease. It also is the perfect length in the back for covering the rear, when wearing it with leggings or skinny jeans.
Mrs. Crenshaw is a 2nd Grade Teacher whose first day of school style is a loose fit denim dress! She says the style of a denim dress is so comfortable that she can run around with the kiddos all day and still look on trend and professional for work. Pair it with sneakers for a laidback and comfortable look, or with over the knee boots for a chillier fall day.
Ms. Wetherington is a 2nd Grade Teacher whose first day of school style is a sweatshirt dress! She says she loves the effortlessly stylish wear of a sweatshirt dress. It’s like wearing sweats to work but with more of an appropriate look! This is also a great style for transitioning from season to season.
